THE PROCESS OF CHANGE BEGINS ONE STEP AT A TIME.
I welcome the opportunity to earn your trust and deliver the best service based upon your own needs. Seeking out therapy is an individual choice and there are many reasons why people seek out a therapist including strengthening existing relationships, dealing with long-standing psychological issues, coping with unexpected changes, and completing unfinished issues from the past.
Sometimes we seek out therapy as part of our own personal exploration or growth. Working with a therapist can help provide insight, support, and new strategies for all types of life challenges. Therapy can help address many types of issues including depression, anxiety, conflict, grief, unresolved childhood issues, stress management, body-image issues, managing anger, and general life transitions.
Therapy is right for anyone who is interested in getting the most out of their life by taking responsibility, creating greater self-awareness, and working toward change in their lives. The benefits obtained from therapy depend on how one uses the process and puts into practice what one learns. Therapy can be short-term, focusing on a specific issue, or longer-term, addressing more complex issues. For therapy to be most effective, a client must be an active participant, both during and between the sessions. In therapy there is an environment of compassion, respect, and understanding.
Therapy is one of the most important investments a person can make, as well as an important commitment to one's self and one's relationships, and to a process of change which can involve healing, transformation, and spiritual growth. Everyone experiences challenging situations in life; therapy is for people who have enough self-awareness to realize they need a helping hand during a difficult season in one's life. A therapist can provide a fresh perspective to:
*develop skills for improving relationships
*find resolution to issues or concerns
*learn new ways to cope with stress and anxiety
*manage anger, grief, depression, and other emotional pressures
*improve communication and listening skills
*change behavior patterns and develop new ones
*discover new ways to solve problems in your family or in your relationships
*improve self-esteem and boost self-confidence
